The Committee of Brainwaves NI was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former committee member Brendan Grimes.
Brendan and his wife Colette tragically lost their daughter Emma to a brain tumour in 2016. Despite his personal loss, Brendan remained a dedicated advocate for our cause. He was an active committee member, a passionate fundraiser and a steadfast supporter of Brainwaves NI, particularly in the Mid Ulster area.
For years, Brendan hosted his annual fundraiser, “Emma’s Day”, which touched many hearts and made a significant difference. Due to his own health challenges, Brendan later had to step down from his role.
To Colette, their children and the entire family circle, we send our sincere condolences. Brendan’s contributions will never be forgotten, and his legacy continues to inspire us all.
