Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

It's 1st September and the beginning of #‎ChildhoodCancerAwareness month.

The shocking fact remains that Brain Tumours are the No 1 cancer killer of UK children.

Whilst great advances have been made in other childhood cancers, Children's Brain Cancer desperately lags behind.

Childhood Brain Tumours need more Awareness, better and less harmful Treatments, more Funded Research and Support for all affected.

Children's Brain Tumours are not  the same as Adult Brain Tumours and need their own specific Research to understand them better, to discover Treatments and ultimately find a Cure.

If you would like to support specific Research for Children's Brain Tumours, then Children with Cancer UK have an Urgent Brain Tumour Appeal here

They are already supporting 10 specific Children's Brain Tumour Research projects throughout the UK. You can learn more about these here and they are collaborating with Brain Tumour Research at their first Centre of Excellence.

If you would like to learn more about Children's Brain Tumours there is some helpful information here

Go Gold for Children this September and support the campaigns and awareness appeals that you see throughout the month.
